OVERVIEW OF PRECINCTS
The residential precinct will comprise of 6000m² commercial space along Ridgeside Drive and 1800 residential units in a combination of high-density apartments, medium density townhouses and low-density houses bordering the coastal forest.
This is a mixed-use precinct and includes 144 000m² of commercial development, 1200 residential units and a
80 000m² mixed-use hotel development. The precinct creates public spaces that maximise the opportunities for blue chip investment around focus areas and include a piazza and pavement society facilities. A Holiday Inn Express hotel is already under construction within this Precinct and will be open for occupation before the 2010 Word Cup.
The office park at Ridgeside across the road from the La Lucia Ridge Office Estate brings 100 000m² of prime sea view office accommodation on to the market following the success of the La Lucia Ridge Office Estate. Vodacom and Investec have already commenced with the construction of their respective offices and occupation is expected to take place early in 2010. The installation of the infrastructure for this precinct started in February 2009 and is expected to be completed in March 2010.
This precint is reserved for future residential development.
